About

I’m a freelance writer and editor based in Metro Vancouver, B.C. Before turning freelance I worked for several decades at the Vancouver Sun, where my job titles included political reporter, features writer and TV critic.

My work has also appeared in publications including the Globe and Mail, Canadian Reader’s Digest, the Tyee, and A Pictorial History of Gargling. I’ve also taught journalism at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Langara College. I’m a three-time finalist in the Jack Webster Awards and I’ve won a number of other honours, including a Prince Edward Island Literary Award.
